Every player begins with this guide automatically, making it the first reference for learning how to sail, refuel, build, and operate all equipment in the Add On.

In the [[Better Maps|Better Maps]] Add-On, Gravestones protect the player’s items after death. Instead of losing everything, items are stored safely in one place, giving the player time to return and recover them.

== Functionality ==
When the player dies, a gravestone is created at the location of death. All items are stored inside it, and a [[Waypoints|waypoint]] is automatically created to guide the player back.

The gravestone behaves like any other waypoint, showing the distance and helping track the return journey. If the gravestone is located in another dimension, the player will be notified.

The gravestone feature can be controlled through settings, allowing it to be enabled or disabled depending on how the world is configured.

== Interaction ==
The player can follow the waypoint created on death to return to the gravestone. Once they arrive, the gravestone can be broken by punching it. Breaking the gravestone will return all stored items to the player, allowing them to continue without losing progress.

Waypoints are used to mark important locations in the [[Better Maps|Better Maps]] Add-On so you can always find your way back. They help you organise your world, whether you are tracking your base, a portal, or a place you want to return to later.

== Functionality ==
Waypoints can be created at any location and fully customised. You can give them a name, choose an icon, and pick a colour to make them stand out.

There is a wide range of colour options available, including aqua, red, green, gold, and more, or you can choose a random colour.

Waypoints can be set as public or private. You can also set one as your destination, which will display how far away it is and update as you move. When you reach it, the waypoint will show that you have arrived.

If a waypoint is in another dimension, it will notify you. Some actions require you to be in the same dimension before they can be used.

Waypoints can also be removed when no longer needed, with a confirmation step to prevent accidental deletion.

== Interaction ==
Waypoints are created and managed through the [[Map (Item)|map]]. Select a location on the map to add a waypoint, or interact with an existing one to open its menu.

From the waypoint menu, you can view details such as location, distance, and creator. You can then choose to edit it, delete it, set it as your destination, or teleport to it if that setting is enabled.

While exploring, waypoints can appear in the world depending on your settings. Looking at one will show its name and how far away it is, and you will be prompted when you can interact with it.

Fishing Boat

The fishing boat is a small working vessel in the [[Boats|BOATS]] Add On. It is equipped with a built in fishing net that lets you gather fish directly from the water while sailing. It carries one player and is ideal for relaxed coastal travel and steady fishing runs.

== Functionality ==
The fishing boat is engine powered and must be filled with [[Marine Fuel Bucket|Marine Fuel]] before it can move. While riding, you can interact to lower the net into the water. After a short wait the net rises on its own, and interacting again collects the catch. The vessel follows normal movement controls and keeps its stored Marine Fuel when picked up.

== Interaction ==
Interact with the fishing boat to board it and use the sneak input to exit. Punch it once to begin its shaking state and punch again during the shake to store it while keeping its [[Marine Fuel Bucket|Marine Fuel]]. Interact while holding Marine Fuel to refuel, and interact while holding any dye to recolor the boat. Interact while seated to lower or collect the fishing net.

When you're fishing, the loot table determines your chances of getting specific items, this is broken down into category (Fish, Junk or Treasure) where there's a drop chance of 85% for Fish, 10% for Junk and 5% for Treasure, we call this the "Category Chance". Once we've chosen which category we then want to select the item, for these we call them the "In-Category Chance" so if your category is Fish you then have a 48.54% chance of it being a Cod. You can then use both of these values to get the "Effective Chance" which is basically just the total likelihood you get the item before you start fishing.
