The Stove Top in the Farming Add-On is used to power various different kitchen utensils. It does not requrie any other power source once crafted.

To craft a stove top, put three iron ingots in a row in your crafting grid. In the row below, put a lava bucket into the middle slot. Then, add a piece of redstone dust on each side of the lava bucket.
