Mid-Cab Diesel Engine (Locomotive)

The Mid-cab Diesel Engine is a versatile locomotive introduced in the Urban Update. It serves as an excellent backup engine for tourist railways and shunting yards, offering full-speed travel in both directions.

Functionality

This engine uses Diesel Fuel Buckets and can haul up to twenty-five cars. It has a weight of 'one', or 'twenty' when equipped with a drill attachment. The drill allows it to bore tunnels and place track but prevents the engine from climbing hills under its own power.

Interaction

Players can access the throttle menu by interacting while riding or by crouching and interacting on foot. The locomotive supports dye colours, coupling, shunting in any direction, horn activation by jumping, and automatic refuelling when a Fuel Tender is directly behind it.

Obtaining

Place an iron ingot in the top left, the cab frame in the top middle, and another iron ingot in the top right. Place a block of iron on the middle left, the fuel tank in the center, and another block of iron on the middle right. Then place the trucks on the bottom left and bottom right with the redstone dust in the bottom middle. Crafts one Mid-cab Diesel Engine.
