Large Iron Turntable

Turntables are rotating track platforms introduced in the Urban Update. They allow trains to be turned to any of eight directions and are essential for yards, depots, reversing loops, and compact rail layouts. Turntables come in two sizes and two material variants:

• Small Copper Turntable, five blocks wide
• Large Iron Turntable, eleven blocks wide

Both variants take up considerable space and have placement restrictions due to their footprint.

Functionality

Turntables can be powered by redstone or spun manually. When powered, they continuously rotate in the last direction they were manually turned. Drivers standing on a locomotive can rotate the turntable beneath them by using the left or right movement keys.

The turntable will spin until it completes a half turn or reaches a valid connected track. It will not move if any part of the trainset is not fully positioned on the turntable.

Interaction

Players can interact with a turntable to spin it, or sneak-interact to spin it the opposite way. When driving a locomotive on the turntable, side-to-side movement controls rotation remotely. Once aligned, the turntable behaves like normal track.

Copper Turntable (Small)

Place copper ingots in the top left, top middle, and top right. Place copper trestles on the left and right of the middle row with smooth stone in the center. Place redstone dust in the bottom left, a truck in the bottom middle, and a copper ingot in the bottom right. Crafts one Small Copper Turntable.

Iron Turntable (Large)

Place iron ingots in the top left, top middle, and top right. Place iron trestles on the left and right of the middle row with smooth stone in the center. Place redstone dust in the bottom left, an existing copper turntable in the bottom middle, and an iron ingot in the bottom right. Crafts one Large Iron Turntable.
