Crossing signals are used to indicate that an engine is approaching. They have flashing red indicators and make a loud bell sound. They can be crafted from any fence type combined with redstone.

To craft place redstone dust on the bottom left and right of the crafting table, with two fences of your choice in the bottom center and center slots of the crafting table.
