The Horn Marker is an automated signalling block introduced in the Urban Update. When placed directly beneath straight rails, it triggers the horn of any locomotive that passes over it, making it perfect for level crossings, tunnels, depots, and themed routes.

Functionality

The marker activates only when an engine passes above it. The horn’s pitch can be customized, following a range similar to noteblocks. An observer can be attached to detect when the horn is triggered, allowing integration with other redstone systems.

Interaction

Players can interact with the Horn Marker to open its configuration menu and adjust the horn pitch. Once set, the marker works automatically for every engine that crosses it.

Obtaining

Place repeaters in the top left and top right with the observer in the top middle. Put redstone on the left and right of the tripwire hook in the middle row. Then place cobblestone across the entire bottom row. Crafts three Horn Markers.
