Winged Steam Engine with a Cow Catcher Attachment

The Cowcatcher Attachment is a locomotive upgrade introduced in the Urban Update. When mounted to the front of a steam engine, it adds a functional cowcatcher capable of breaking rolling stock it strikes and dealing damage to entities. It can also be placed as a decorative block.

Functionality

The attachment works with the Basic Steam Engine and the Winged Steam Engine. Once installed, front coupling and shunting are disabled. Any rolling stock the engine runs into will be destroyed, making it useful for clearing track obstructions or theatrical crash-style setups. Unlike the Drill Attachment, the cowcatcher does not degrade over time.

Interaction

Players attach the cowcatcher by using the item on a compatible steam engine. After installation, the locomotive’s front coupler becomes unusable, and the cowcatcher’s damage and destruction behaviour activates automatically as the engine moves forward.

Obtaining

Crafting

Place iron ingots across the entire top row. Put iron bars across the entire middle row. Leave the bottom left and bottom right empty, with iron bars in the bottom middle. Crafts one Cowcatcher Attachment.
